Thank goodness Kate has a plot at the Aspen Community Garden that will support our journey to eat as local as possible during the Aspen Locavore challenge.
Our gardening expert Eric Baumheier of High Mountain Gardeners is planning and planting our garden to yield a bounty of fabulous, garden-grown veggies and herbs we will harvest for our August/September adventure. So far we've planted peas, kale, carrots, broccoli, swiss chard, collard greens, onions, yellow crooked neck squash, and a round zucchini. In the herb bed are parsley, basil, thyme, oregano, rosemary, sage, mint and comfrey.
